Itinerary
Day 1 · Ho Chi Minh City Arrival
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you will be greeted by our guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Day 2 · Old & New Saigon Discovery (B)
With your guide, visit Ho Chi Minh City’s main highlights, including the War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral (outside view only), and the Central Post Office designed by Gustave Eiffel. In the afternoon, discover how Saigon has evolved by exploring local alleyways, residential areas, and a traditional neighborhood where residents share insights into daily life. Enjoy a stop at the city’s oldest café to learn about traditional coffee-making methods, then stroll through a French colonial apartment building while your guide shares stories of its past. End the day in the city’s newer districts, where historic landmarks and modern skyscrapers create a striking contrast, especially at sunset along the Saigon River. Day 3 · Cu Chi Tunnels & Vintage Vespa Experience (B/D)
This morning, embark on a 1.5-hour drive northwest from Ho Chi Minh City to the Cu Chi Tunnels, traveling through bustling urban areas and the lush, green landscapes of southern Vietnam. Originally built as a base for guerrilla attacks against the French, the Cu Chi Tunnels were later expanded during the Vietnam War into an ingenious underground network, protecting Viet Cong fighters from American air and ground attacks. Explore the vast tunnels with your guide to learn about their history, understand life underground, and gain insight into the resilience and fighting spirit of the Vietnamese people. Notes: Tour duration: Half day (08:00–14:00) Some sections of the tunnels have been widened for visitors, but they can still be dark, hot, and claustrophobic. Guests uncomfortable with enclosed spaces may prefer to explore the above-ground rooms and excavated areas, which are easily accessible. In the evening, delve into the delicious world of Vietnamese fresh rolls, a staple of the country’s cuisine known for its aromatic flavors, diverse textures, and versatile fillings. Discover the variety of dipping sauces that enhance their taste and experiment with different flavor profiles. On the bustling streets of Saigon, enjoy a hands-on experience learning about the most popular types of rolls, their ingredients, and preparation methods. Taste the burst of flavors in freshly made rice paper rolls filled with herbs, and uncover the secret techniques that make them so irresistible. Notes: Duration: 2.5–3 hours (18:00–21:00) During the evening vespa tour, you will sit behind experienced drivers who are experts at navigating their vehicles and the busy Saigon traffic.
